(Left to Right) A new acquisition is the automatic saw system , a precursor to the chain saw, used to cut logs in the field ; Jeff Young sets flags on the end of the log slide exhibit , newly built to show how the steam donkey pulled logs from cut site to the mill; and finally, Norm Saude stands behind a display of tools used in logging . They include various axes , a two man saw, and two hammers . The stea, donkey exhibit now has a covered roof and new platform. Visitors can watch as logs are drawn using the exgine while listening to the whistles.

Members of the Caboose crew stand to be honored ; Maj. Brooks Wilson shows the model to Ed and Shirley Selleck.

Event Chairperson, Shirley Kepler starts the evening off by introducing the members of the Caboose Refurbishing crew ; John Statler acts as auctioneer for the evening ; and Major Brooks Wilson addresses the diners to inform them of the developments for 2010 and the future direction and timetable for the restoration project.

VEST members serving in the kitchen include: Linda Clague, Donna Mount, Kim Ashbrook , Connie Amesbury and Judy Statler. The fire pit cooks, seated, include the Young brothers and Tom Kepler.
