At Last! CSHS Website Updated and Maintained !
Hurray for Jamie Glenn, created the present website, www.sierrahistorical.org, and to Brian Clague M.D. who presently maintains it . Jamie’s special interest in bringing history of the central Sierra to the public runs in the family. His grandfather, Myron Glenn, authored Sierra Nevada Interlude while employed on the Big Creek Project in the early 1900’s.

New Titles At The CSHS Gift Store
Torching Conventional Forestry : The Artful Application of Science . 2010 .John R. Mount explains his philosophyof responsibly living in the Sierras as that is translated in his work as chief forrestor of the Edison Power Company which owns thousands of acres in the Sierras. This book is a must read for anyone with historical interest in the Sierras.

Tales of the Sierra; by Marvin Kientz; Three Forests Interpretive Association; 2005. For those of you who have been enjoying Marv Kientz’ continuing series of articles about our local history, look for this compilation in the CSHS gift shop.
