Alice was born in Chicago, Illinois, the youngest of eight siblings. Alice and her family relocated to Southern California in 1943 so her father could work at Warner Bros. Studios. Alice, a retired special education teacher has three children and 6 grandchildren! She and her husband Robert, who serves on the museums Board of Directors, are a always willing to volunteer at the museum. From setting up for special events, co-chairing for the museum annual fund raiser dinner, hosting the museums annual ice cream social, to attending most functions held at the museum, Alice and Robert are dedicated supporters of the Museum and active members of the Shaver Lake Community. Alice is also involved with the Shaver Lake Birthday Club, Quilting & Lions. Remarkably, during Alice’s busy life she ran the 2001 L.A. Marathon and actually finished, and currently is in the process to become a CASA volunteer. (Court Appointed Special Advocates are community volunteers, who stand up and speak out to help abused and neglected children).
